Bakeshop- Boho Stacked Squares Quilt

I can't believe it but, I have never actually made a bakeshop quilt!  I was looking through the free patterns for moda and fell in love with this pattern the first time I saw it!  The original quilt uses 1 layer cake and 2 jelly rolls for a throw size quilt.  The pattern and pictures of it our here.  I wanted to make a baby size quilt so I modified the original "recipe" and here it is...

1 Boho charm pack
1 Boho jelly roll
1/2 yard of white fabric

  Cut your white fabric into 6 - 2 1/2" x WOF strips

I used 30 of the charm pack squares.  I paired them with the jelly roll strips and white strips.  In order to get away with using only one jelly roll I cut the outer strips in half, long ways.  For the outer strips one jelly roll strip will be for 2 blocks.

For each block:
1- 5" x 5" square
2- 2 1/2" x 5"
2- 2 1/2" x 9"
2- 1 1/4" x 9"
2- 1 1/4" x 10 1/4" strips

  Block Assembly:

Here is all the blocks finished, which would look good just like that but I'm gonna do something a little crazier.

Once all my blocks where completed you cut them into 4 equal squares.  Each square should end up being 5" squared.

You then lay them out on your design wall or floor, in an arrangement that pops out at you :)  I looked at the original pattern to get an idea on layout.

Then carefully sew your blocks together and wa-la.

Here is the quilt all top stitched and ready for binding.  I used the extra squares on the back just like the original recipe.   I was excited I found a top stitch design so close to the patterns in my fabric.  I am very happy with how it turned out.  The quilt is 40" x 45" so an over sized baby quilt.
