Scattered Seeds 2014

So I am very excited that I will be part of Scattered Seeds Christmas Craft Market this year!  It's not until October but I have been going crazy making stuff.  I learned a lot from my first craft sale ever last Christmas.  Quilts need to be displayed!  I have a lot planned for my 10' x10' booth.

Here is a sneak peek at the pin cushions I have been making... They are a nice big size 3.5" x 3.5" and 2" tall.  They are lined with felt and filled with ground walnut shells.  Why walnut shells?  I did some research and a lot of people recommend it.  They give it a nice weight and your pins don't pop out.

Disappearing Nine Patch Throw Quilt- Chance of Flowers

Found a wonderful weekend project, disappearing nine patch throw quilt.  All you need is 2 charm packs and 1 yard of a solid color fabric, in my case cream.

I saw this pattern here and it has a great tutorial.  It goes together quite fast and has a nice effect.

I top stitched it in an all over rose pattern to go along with all the roses on the fabric.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I used plush backing and added white flannel in the middle instead of batting.  With the plush backing batting isn't really needed but I didn't want the turquoise to show through the quilt top.

Contemplating keeping this one... but it's listed in my ETSY shop.
