Disappearing Nine Patch Throw Quilt- Chance of Flowers

Found a wonderful weekend project, disappearing nine patch throw quilt.  All you need is 2 charm packs and 1 yard of a solid color fabric, in my case cream.

I saw this pattern here and it has a great tutorial.  It goes together quite fast and has a nice effect.

I top stitched it in an all over rose pattern to go along with all the roses on the fabric.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I used plush backing and added white flannel in the middle instead of batting.  With the plush backing batting isn't really needed but I didn't want the turquoise to show through the quilt top.

Contemplating keeping this one... but it's listed in my ETSY shop.

  1. Wonderful, WONDERFUL quilt!!!

May I ask how you made it graidented?

I'm a new quilter and have searched online with no success in how to gradient the colors. (Ugh, it's like trying to figure out algebra!!!! LOL)

  2. P/S
Not certain that gradient is the right word... I would like to make a sort of rainbow-ish transition of colors.

Thank you for sharing, it's an inspiration!!!
