Wild Child Charm Pack Throw Quilt

So I had this beautiful fabric lying around, Wild Child designed by Jane Sassaman for Free Spirit Fabrics.  I started with 4 charm packs and some black and dark blue fabric.  The free spirit charm packs have less squares compared to moda but they are also cheaper.  I decided to take out some of the designs because I didn't want too much white.  This is one of my first quilts using mostly black and was excited to see the outcome.

I ended up using the dark blue fabric on the back and used about 1.5 yards of black fabric along with the charm pack for the front. I used a common charm pack quilt pattern, but what I am most excited about is the beautiful top stitching.  I took advantage of this opportunity to use variegated thread.  The pictures don't do it justice but the front is a rainbow thread and the back is blue and yellow.

Happy Quilting :)
